Can an intangible element be passed on from generation to generation? Can a period or an event trigger traumas so strong that they remain etched in our DNA? Can emotions like pain or fear be passed down from father to son like hair color or eye cut? An unwelcome, uncomfortable inheritance, which everyone would gladly do without. A desire to distort one's history, one's identity, one's genealogy.
A heavy burden, but at the same time irreplaceable matter for one's being.
Give up a meta-historical and meta-communication bridge with one's ancestors.
There is in man a primordial and latent will (conscious and unconscious) to create connections, conjunctions and bonds with his fellow men, with places and objects, recalling and reshaping parts of the message left by someone else: from the exchange of letters and iconic objects , to the construction of a continuum of connections through chats and geolocalized photos.
The spirit of our time (Zeitgeist) is shamelessly structured on the desire to establish continuous broadcasts: from internet forums to the advent of social media, up to becoming more and more ephemeral, more and more fleeting, more and more passing. The same instinct that induces an animal to mark the territory as it passes.
It would not be wrong, in fact, to define man as a "transmitting animal", a researcher of bonds.
In art, as in science, transmissions / connections are continuously perceived: from continuing the research of a predecessor, to making one's own a semantic or linguistic element learned from one's master (tangible transmissions), to carrying forward a content (message) similar to that of another (intangible transmissions), consequently creating links between authors of two different periods.
Flavio Tiberti, in his works, analyzes the way in which man relates to himself, his fellow men and time.
In Trans-parent we witness the transmission of a hereditary trauma: a pain transmitted from father to daughter. Our being, therefore, is the result of "past" + "present", just as two primary colors form a secondary.
Events, episodes, moments of anger or joy of the other become ours. In Enchantment, in fact, we witness the symbiosis between two (negative) souls linked in a single vein.
But also transmissions / connections with one or more individuals of opposite hemispheres, but isolated from the concrete world: an illusion that makes them feel like Fish out the water, eager for an Atlantis that is not their own never belonged.
In the installation Arbeit macht frei, Tiberti attempts to investigate the dynamics of the relationship between man and object: a path that leads to abandoned photographs enclosed in an album of forgotten memories. What is the connection between us and them? They are not our relatives, nor our friends or enemies. Only one thing binds us ...
Transmissions such as roads, arteries that intersect and connect two opposite points.

Un fardello pesante, ma allo stesso tempo materia insostituibile per il proprio essere.
Rinunciare a un ponte metastorico e metacomunicativo con i propri avi.
Esiste nell’uomo una volontà primordiale e latente (conscia e inconscia) di creare collegamenti, congiunzioni e legami con i propri simili, con luoghi e oggetti, richiamando e riplasmando parti del messaggio lasciato da qualcun altro: dallo scambio di lettere e di oggetti iconici, alla costruzione di un continuum di connessioni attraverso chat e foto geolocalizzabili.
Lo spirito del nostro tempo (Zeitgeist) è spudoratamente strutturato sulla volontà d’instaurare continue trasmissioni: dai forum su internet all’avvento dei social, fino a diventare sempre più effimero, sempre più fugace, sempre più passeggero. Lo stesso istinto che induce un animale a segnare, al suo passaggio, il territorio.
Non sarebbe errato, infatti, definire l’uomo un “animale trasmissore”, ricercatore di legami.
Nell’arte, come nella scienza, si percepiscono continuamente trasmissioni/connessioni: dal proseguire la ricerca dl un predecessore, a far proprio un elemento semantico o linguistico appreso dal proprio maestro (trasmissioni tangibili), a portare avanti un contenuto (messaggio) analogo a quello di un altro (trasmissioni intangibili), creando, di conseguenza, legami tra autori di due periodi diversi.
Flavio Tiberti, nei suoi lavori, analizza il modo in cui l’uomo si rapporta con sé stesso, i suoi simili e il tempo.
In Trans-parent si assiste alla trasmissione di un trauma ereditario: un dolore trasmesso di padre in figlia. Il nostro essere, quindi, è il risultato di “passato” + “presente”, proprio come due colori primari formano un secondario.
Eventi, episodi, momenti di rabbia o di gioia dell’altro diventano nostri. In Enchantment, assistiamo, infatti, alla simbiosi tra due anime (negativi) legate in un’unica vena.
Ma anche trasmissioni/connessioni con uno o più individui di emisferi opposti, ma isolati dal mondo concreto: un’illusione che li fa sentire dei perenni pesci fuor d’acqua (Fish out the water), desiderosi di un’Atlantide che non gli è mai appartenuta.
Nell’installazione Arbeit macht frei, Tiberti tenta di indagare sulle dinamiche del rapporto tra uomo e oggetto: un percorso che conduce a fotografie abbandonate e racchiuse in un album di ricordi dimenticati. Qual è la connessione tra noi e loro? Non sono nostri parenti, né nostri amici o nemici. Una sola cosa ci lega…
Trasmissioni come strade, arterie che si intersecano e collegano due punti opposti.
